Everywhere in the vastness of Moscow, the air is nipping with the intensity of chilled vodka while the days grow shorter and the nights longer. Known to the rest of the world as a center of budding capitalism, the diaspora of creative minds and talent has rendered a new city unmatched by it’s former ideals.

The Obama Family Final White House Christmas

With the arrival of the holiday season, the Obama family unveiled their final white house Christmas decoration, and it looks like they saved the best for the last. This year’s White House Christmas decoration theme is “The Gifts of the Holiday”, reflecting the joy and gratefulness of giving and receiving.

On November 25th, the first lady Michelle Obama accompanied by her two nephews, Austin and Aaron Robinson, and her Portuguese water dogs Bo and Sunny, welcomed the official Christmas tree from the Whispering Pines Tree Farm in Oconto, Wisconsin. Displayed in the Blue Room at the White House, the 19-foot Christmas tree took the volunteers four days to decorate and trim. There are 12 ornaments with “girl” written on it in different languages, representing the “Let Girls Learn” initiative. (Image source: Getty, Alex Wong)
