Cutting Your Wig Like a Stylist

Wigs can be a lot of fun. You can add instant length to your hair or change your hair color temporarily all by putting on a wig. uniwigs cut wig

  1. Place your wig on a wig stand and pin it into place. Put several T-pins in the hair line and in front of the ears to secure the wig to the stand. Check that the wig stand is straight, too! If you don’t have T-pins, you could also use basic sewing pins.
  2. Comb or brush the hair to remove any tangles. Spend a few minutes gently brushing out your wig. You want to ensure that there are no tangles or sections of hair that aren’t falling where they should. Since your wig doesn’t grow back, you need to be patient when preparing to cut it. This is a great time to think about what length you want your wig to be if you don’t already know.
  3. Start with the back of the wig and work in small sections. Move your fingers down the hair until they are at the length where you want to wig to be. Try to hold the hair so that it’s flat between your middle and index fingers, rather than bunched together. If you want to make a drastic change and go from long hair to medium-length or short hair, just adjust where you’re going to make the cuts to get the length you desire.
  4. Cut the hair at a 45-degree angle, taking care to not cut your fingers. Use your hair-cutting scissors and cut up into the hair, trimming it across the entire length of your fingers. Make small, even snips to prevent any accidents. You could cut straight across rather than at a 45-degree angle, but the angle helps the hair look more natural than a straight, blunt cut would.
  5. Trim the entirety of your wig until all the ends are the same length. When moving on to a new section, use some of the hair from an already-cut area to guide the trimming so everything ends up being the same length. Keep in mind that you can always trim or cut your wig shorter if you want to in the future, but you can’t make it longer!
  6. Snip off any loose, long hairs that you missed in the trimming process. Walk all around the wig, checking the ends for any long, scraggly hairs you might have missed in the trimming process. Snip them off to clean up your wig. Also check the length of the hairs on either side of the wig to make sure they are even.

After following these six steps, you will find out a whole new wig with the style you want! If you are trying to find the best wig, Uniwigs is always here to help!

How to Wear Hair Extensions for Thick Hair?

When choosing hair extensions, you have to consider the hair volume and grams. Different grams for different hair volumes you have. Usually, we define three types of hair volume we have: thin, medium, and thick. Today, we will talk about how to choose and wear hair extensions for people with thick hair.
Usually, the hair extensions glam between 180g and 220g will be enough. Just think, how to weigh it would be if you wear an extension above 250g. That’s why we don’t recommend that kind of hair extensions.

So what to do if it’s thin for me?

That depends on the tips on how you wear the hair extensions.
The key is to hide away some of your own hair! This will eliminate some of the bulkiness and help to blend your own hair with the extensions.

How to wear it?

Normally if you put your extensions in according to the instructions, you would section the bottom half of your hair and then put in your extensions. If you already have thick hair that bottom layer is going to be pretty heavy and when you lift up your extensions you are going to see just this row of really short hair.

So what I’m going to show you is how you can get your extensions without that bottom layer.

First, you have to make a section at the back and braid the bottom hair. When you make the section, the position is very important: at the nape of the neck? Ear to ear? Or at the crown? That depends on how thick your hair, grasp the hair extension with one hand, and grasp your hair with another hand, compare the thickness of them, then estimate the extra hair volume of your hair compared with the hair extensions, section the extra hair with the right place.
Then make two braids for the extra hair.

Then pin both braids together. That’s good for hiding the extra hair, and also works for clipping the hair extension.

After that, you will find that your hair is not so thick.
Then you can add hair extensions as usual. If you are a perfectionist you can always straighten your hair to match the texture. But don’t forget it’s going to be super noticeable to you and not so noticeable to people who have never seen you before. So we suggest doing some curls, which would be much undetectable than straight hair.

What color is Beetlejuice’s hair?

Beetlejuice is a black humorous comedy full of imagination and rich charm. This film does not use exaggerated special effects, a dazzling cast, or even outstanding plot tension to attract the audience into the theater. The content of the script looks very ordinary from a modern perspective, but the imaginative plot presented in the whole film, even the current director sometimes observes and draws materials. It is also worth mentioning that although many years have passed, the Beetlejuice Costumes has been deeply in people’s hearts.

Beetlejuice also has his fair share of hair color changes, according to an interview done by Variety, with Alex Brightman. Beetlejuice’s hair changes along with his emotions, like a mood ring, from green to purple, to red, to a darker green, and to more electric green.

You knew pretty much from the start that green was Beej’s primary hair color. And honestly, you loved it from the first moment. Green hair would look so weird on anybody else but on him? It somehow seemed perfect for him. It almost seemed like a part of his personality.

Poison Ivy wig is a bright green wig that will make you turn heads. Have fun with Poison Ivy by rocking it for Beetlejuice now, let’s turn on the juice and see what shakes loose!!

How to take care of your synthetic wigs

Synthetic wigs, especially if they are long or very long, deteriorate due to friction (rubbing the nape of the neck, shoulders, scarves, collars, scarves …). If you can’t renew it, there are tricks to soften the fiber of synthetic wigs and leave it almost like new! Mind you, the length of the fix is somewhat temporary, but it can save you for a couple more weeks of use without having to buy a new synthetic wig.

Most importantly, maintenance is first of all. If we regularly apply a specific mask for synthetic wigs, the duration of the fiber in good condition will be longer than if we do not use anything.

This trick can only be done with heat resistant fiber wigs. If your wig does not admit heat, the result would be disastrous and it would spoil much more.

1) Brush the wig to remove tangles from middle to ends.

2) When the wig is old and damaged by rubbing, immerse in hot water and apply a scoop of concentrated fabric softener that we use for clothing. Wait 15 to 30 min before rinsing thoroughly.

3) Dry with the dryer at medium temperature and leave the synthetic wig wet in the most damaged areas.

4) While still damp from medium to ends (humidity is important), divide into small locks and start by passing the iron at medium temperature (140 degrees). Increase the temperature gradually until you see that the frizz is mitigating and the fiber softer.

5) Never raise the temperature of the iron more than 180 degrees.

6) Pass the iron until the wig is completely dry.

The fiber should be softer, the ends more sealed and more manageable for about two more weeks.

Can human hair wigs be dyed?

You can do anything with human hair wigs that you can do to your natural hair. This includes dyeing, cutting, heat styling and chemically processing your human hair. Many weave wearers dye wigs to get an exact match to their skin color. Things to remember when dyeing your human hair wigs:

Do a strand test first. Even though you can dye your wigs, you should first test to see how they will handle the coloring process. Mix the dye as directed, then apply to one small strand or section of the hair. Take note of the end result before continuing to dye the rest of the hair.

Experts advise that you don’t attempt to dye non-Remy hair weaves. These wigs have been chemically treated, stripping the strand to its weakest. They are generally not string enough to be dyed.

It may take multiple applications to lighten your wigs. To dye black wigs to blonde or light brown color, you must first strip the hair of its natural color. Then you must bleach the hair to the desired shade. This may more than one try to get to the right color. As usual, do a strand test first to avoid ending up with a head full of orange locks.

Just like strong chemicals can strip and damage your natural hair, harsh chemicals can also damage your human hair wig beyond repair. Remy human hair wigs have the cuticle layer intact. This outer layer of the strand gives the hair its natural shine and body. By using chemical dyes that are too strong for the hair you can strip the cuticle, making your extensions weak, dull and brittle.

UniWigs Trendy Exclusive Ombre Wig – Bambi Wig

Do you remember our Bambi wig, which is one of the most unique of UniWigs exclusive design.
Many wig stores use a huge range of terminology and it’s a little bit confusing, isn’t it? I will introduce our new arrival with the most accessible words so that you can get the points easily.

Understandably, one of the very first things a customer often asks is “how much it will cost me?”. The most honest answer is “you get what you paid for”. The price you are offered depends on the length, thickness, hair color and customer service. As you all know, UniWigs don’t sell cheap wigs, which, we think, is not a long plan for the future. We attract our customers with the top quality products and services. Get used to it. It’s the trend of wig or any other product market, and you will get more than you imagine.

We are confident about our reasonable price because we are so sure that our products are unique and you will not regret having one! Have any doubt? Let me tell you the story of our new Bambi Wig.

1.Heat resistant fiber -It can be styled with heat. But remember: when you use flat iron, keep the temperature from 100 degrees and up to 300 degrees otherwise you will damage the wig.

2.Creating a handmade wig – that’s a wig with a bespoke, made to measure lace foundation with all of the hair hand knotted, or “ventilated” for all of you– is not cheap, but if you would like to spend a little more, you will receive something amazing.

3.Double knotted backs and edges – Certain sections of a wig can take the brunt of styling over time so we make sure these sections are knotted into the lace twice. This minimises shedding and keeps the wig looking fuller for longer.

4.Single knotted fronts and hairlines – This means the area where the lace meets the skin on the forehead is knotted one hair at a time, every hole, creating a flawless and natural finish.

5.Specifically designed to optimize styling versatility – This means we add carefully knotted sections to the wig where possible, to enable you to vary the way the wig can be styled. So if you fancy switching the parting a little or dressing the hair up for a change the result remains natural & flawless.

6.More possibilities to style – One of our talented designer has made an amazing braid hairstyle with this wig, which is so cute! In a very short time it becomes everyone’s “deer-est” friend with this great looking.

7.This wig is called Bambi. As you may know, we appreciate any advice from our customers so we give customers the chance to name our EVERY new arrival. We asked for name of our new babe too and got plenty of wonderful ideas on Facebook(@UniWigs Trendy) and Instagram(@UniWigs). Finally we picked out Bambi as the name of our new product.

“@the_lamas_wench: Bambi–Because the colors exactly the same as little bambi and it just shows then innocence and daintiness of the piece. It ‘s beautiful . ”

Are all of these reasons enough for you to make a decision? If not, go to our website(UniWigs) and Instagram(@UniWigs) to get more!

What hair color are you suitable for?

Sometimes choosing a hair style is the same as matching clothes. We will choose the clothes that suit our color according to our skin color. Also choosing a good-looking and suitable hair color based on your skin color on the hair dye will make you more beautiful.

It’s important to find your skin tone. You need to determine if your skin tone is warm, cool or neutral.

The international practice is that you can first make a rough judgment according to the color of your wrist vein. People with blue or purple blood vessels will be fine-tuned; Those with green or olive blood will be yellowish; if both are, it is netural.

In addition, you can judge the skin color according to the color of the jewelry you wear and the color that suits the makeup. Most people who are more suitable for silver accessories and partial pinkish purple makeup are cool skins; those with golden accessories and brownish-yellow tones are warm skins. For those who are not well-adapted, they are neutral.

Choose hair color according to skin color
After you have judged your skin color accurately, you can study the hair color.

Cool skin:
Cool skin gives people a cool feeling, so the skin is cool and even pink. For cool-skinned women, low-saturation, low-saturation hair color is preferred, such as cold gold, gray-green, fog purple, and so on.

Warm skin:
Most of the warm skin gives a gentle feeling, the skin color is white but warm, suitable for some hair color with pink or red, such as orange pink, orange red, maroon and so on.

Neutral skin:
If your skin is neutral, congratulations! You are suitable for all hair colors. With a little attention to the overall mix, you can easily create a sense of style.

At last, if you are still curious about hair color, buy some colored wigs is a good choice. Synthetic wigs are perfect for you. They have many types of hair color and much cheaper than human hair wigs. I recommend you to choose synthetic wigs made by heat friendly fiber. High quality heat friendly fiber looks and feels like natural hair; plus it can be styled with heat tools.
