When Choose A Synthetic Wig

About Synthetics

Synthetic fibers are fine plastics, usually in the form of polyester, acrylic, or polyvinyl chloride (PVC). These fibers are processed to look and move like real hair, but not all synthetic fibers are the same as far as quality.

The best way to tell if you are looking at wigs of higher synthetic quality is shine. Cheaper synthetic wigs will be overly shiny in appearance, while fine synthetics will not be shiny and will look and move more naturally. A quality synthetic will also feel softer and silkier than a cheaper one.

Nowadays, high quality synthetic wigs are mostly made from Kanekalon® fiber, which is natural feeling, liguarantee-kanekalon[6]ghter, softer hair with more natural body complement today’s modern fashionable lifestyle. Its natural luster, silky straight texture, soft and smooth touch makes Kanekalon® recognized as the best quality heat-friendly synthetic hair in the past 50 years, thus it is widely used for wig and hair extensions all around the globe.

Benefits of Synthetic Wigs

No styling required. Since synthetics are fine strands of fabric, the style is literally ‘baked’ into the wig. Wetting the wig will not alter the style and it will dry into the same shape it was in when purchased.

Cheaper. In general, high-quality synthetics are cheaper than high-quality human hair wigs.

Consistency. A synthetic wig will not react to environmental factors such as humidity or dryness, but will react to heat from cooking, styling tools, etc.

Drawbacks of Synthetic Wigs

No heat styling. While a synthetic wig can be pulled into an updo just like human hair, these fibers cannot be heat styled without causing damage to the fiber. Likewise, heat from cooking such as stoves and ovens should be avoided when wearing a synthetic wig.

Durability. Synthetics will not last as long as human hair wigs. How long a synthetic wig lasts depends on how it is cared for and how often it is worn, as well as the quality of the fiber. A cheaper synthetic wig will frizz and dry out quicker than a more expensive one. Long synthetic wigs, in particular, will also tangle quite easily as compared to a human hair one.

Shine. Seen in lower quality synthetics, fiber shine can be excessive and unnatural looking. Baby powder, corn starch, and dry shampoo are commonly used to reduce the fiber shine of cheaper synthetics; higher-quality synthetics should not need such products. Keep in mind that even high quality synthetics will reflect shine in flash photography – this does not necessarily mean the hair is unnaturally shiny in actual appearance.

Why do people have different hair colors?

We always see people with different hair colors from us either on TV or in the poster, or even in person. They are have their hair in black, brown, blond, red, yellow, grey, white, green, pink, blue, etc. Have you ever wondered why people have so many different hair colors?

different hair colors

Like the case of different colors in human skin and eye colors, human body produces two pigments: emplaning in dark brown and black hair which is also known as melanin, and pheomelanins in red and blonde hair. As the color depth is determined by the amount of melanin, therefore, human beings will have different hair colors ranging from dark black (when there is lots of melanin) to light blonde (when there is less melanin and more pheomelanins).

According to the research data, the most commonly seen hair color among the human beings around the world is black, with brown (also called “brunettes”) next to it, due to the reasons factors of different regions, climates, dietary habits and geological conditions.

Pussycat Dolls

Blond hair may range from nearly white to a dark blond. The mixture of blond and red hair is called “strawberry blond”. And as you have certainly noticed, there are also redheaded people. Their hair color ranges from fair red to auburn and dark burgundy and is the rarest hair color of all.

Blonde Hair

What about grey or white colored hair? This kind of hair color is mainly appeared among aging people, whose body has probably stopped producing melanin so that their hair can only appear light pigments by presenting the grey or white colors. However, for some people white hair can appear as early as in their childhood, which may be caused by gene or lacking calcium.

grey hair

As for other are extremely hair colors such as green or purple, don’t be curious, because they are not a person’s natural hair color and they have artificially been colored or dyed with different colorants. Others are wearing colored hair extensions to protect their natural hair.

Hairstyles VS Face Shape

What’s your face shape? What hairstyle suits your face best? Frankly speaking, I never thought this before and I just make a hairstyle that I think it should be. However I now would style my own hair according me face so that it will come out a perfect match.

face shapes

There are roughly 6 kinds of face shapes according to some research data and they are: heart, long, oval, triangle, square and round. We can know our face shape referring to the picture below. And then we’ll talk about how to make a haircut that best flatting our face shape:

1) Heart shaped faces. One famous star with a heart shaped face is Paula Marshall. By wearing a proper side-swept bang/ a fringe on her brow with long layers on the top, she has brought all the attention to her bright eyes. You will be willing to learn from her and you can also use your creativity to let your hair grow and have it done in layers which will gently touch your cheekbones.

2) Long faces. A big point to avoid your face looking extra-long is to create the illusion of width to balance your face out when you have a long face or oblong face. Try to do your hair with long, side-swept bangs or chin-length bobs, which will add width to your face. If you would like to look mature, then curls or waves will also help to make it up to frame your face.

One thing you should keep in mind: never let your hair grow too long or have your hair cut too short because this will take away the width from your face and emphasize its length.

3) Oval faces. You are so lucky to have oval face because almost every hairstyle will work well with it. No matter how long or short, how straight or wavy, as long as you like, you can have your hair do any style as you like. Nevertheless, try not to get the hairstyles that add volume to the top of your head—this will make your face look longer.

4) Triangle faces. The triangle face shapes are usually narrow at the forehead, and widest at the jawline with a pointed chin. Ladies with this facial shape often look their best with short hair is fuller on the top and tapers down toward your chin, which shows off the foreheads and cheekbones, while detracting away from the chin.

5) Square faces. The best hairstyle to match a square face to draw attention away from the jawline and choose a style that adds texture. Short curls and waves as well as long layers that start just below the jawline can exactly make this. Meanwhile, bangs cut to the eyebrows and shaped longer at the sides are also good hair ideas to balance a square shaped face. One don’t: one-length bobs or bluntly cut bangs will only emphasize the squareness of your face.

6) Round faces. Round face shapes mainly feature soft full cheeks and rounded foreheads and chins. So the best hairstyle for round shaped faces should focus on slimming the face and n this way, you can have your hair cut just below your chin or in graduated layers with long hairstyles. Again, one-length bobs or bluntly cut bangs should be ticked out.

Useful Tips to Care for Lace Wigs

How many lace wigs do you have? What problems did you have when you got your first lace wig? How do you care for them in daily life?

There are three aspects which should be considered when you care for our lace wigs.

Styling tips:

*Hot styling tools must be used on human hair lace wigs.

*Hot blow driers, curling irons, flat irons and similar tools should be used in the same way as you would do to your own hair.

* If wig hair gets frizzy, try some wig spray to calm the frizz and then gently comb the hair.

* When wigs are tangled, use any detangling or sheen spray while you comb the hair. Remember to start from the bottom and then working your way up.

Washing tips:

As most of the lace wigs on our site are human hair lace wigs, we recommend these care instructions below:

♦ Gently brush the wig to remove teasing or tangling with a wide tooth comb. When brushing, start at the ends and work your way to the roots.

♦ Rinse with cool to lukewarm water.( Water should be at room temperature or slightly warmer, never use hot water)

♦ Distribute wig shampoo evenly throughout the hair using your fingers.

♦ Gently apply some of the soapy water to the inside of the cap. Do not scrub the cap.

♦ Rinse with cold to lukewarm water to remove shampoo. Pat gently with a soft towel to remove excess water. Do not wring or squeeze.

♦ Distribute some conditioner to the damp hair. Avoid the scalp area as the conditioner can loosen the knots.

♦ Rinse with cold to lukewarm water to remove conditioner. Pat gently with a soft towel to remove excess water. Do not wring or squeeze.

♦ Gently press with a towel to remove excess water. Place on a folding wig stand and allow to air dry.

♦ When the wig is completely dry, it is ready to style.

Storage tips:

* When your lace wigs are not in use, make sure to store them in a hair net and a plastic bag or on a wig stand.

* If you are on vacation, remember to put your lace wig in a wig box to prevent it from flattening.

Do You Hate Your Natural Hair?

Have you noticed that you always think things of others are better than your, even when they are exactly the same? I guess it’s because that the grass is always greener on the other side. For hair, some people, who hold the thought their natural hair is not good as others, start to change the natural state of their hair and wear wigs, hair extensions or even change their original hairstyles into a totally different one.

Here are two super stars who hate their natural hair actually. You will never have thought that as a beauty like them, they should have experience like this.

Talor Swift. With a naturally curly brown hair in a school of most girls all have straight hair; will you feel different and especial? On the contrary, she felt left out of school just because of her curly hair. According to her words, she then had to choose to hide her natural curls and straighten them into the similar hairstyle to others.

As concerned her own favorite hairstyles, Taylor likes clean classic looks and enjoys wearing her natural curls in different styles which would work in harmony with her make-up and her clothing.

On the other hand, Megan Park, the now 27-year-old actress and singer, had the perfection of curly hair when she actually had stick-straight hair when she was a teenage girl. She even wore a ponytail with her straight hair everyday just to conceal that she didn’t have curls on her hair.

Eventually she has accepted that straight hair has its own beauty and tries not to copy anyone else by now because she now realizes that her thick straight hair is resistant to frizz, easier to style and requires only minimal styling products to look beautiful.

It’s true that many people just think things of others are better than of them, without thinking that the things they own are a gift from God.
